Lyndsay Davies

Crickets: Early learning music program

Lyndsay Davies teaches Crickets, a music and movement class for children ages 4-6, at CCM.  In 2000, she began her career as a K-5 vocal music teacher in the Harford County Public School system.  In 2001, she began teaching her first piano students (who are now college graduates!).  In 2009-2013, she had the privilege of teaching ear training, sight singing and music theory classes for the Children’s Chorus of Maryland. Most recently, she taught vocal music to K-2 students at Redeemer Classical Christian School in Kingsville, MD.  She also enjoys teaching music classes for her local homeschool co-op, Crossroads.  She continues to teach piano lessons to students of all ages in her home studio, located in Timonium, MD.

Lyndsay is a certified Kodály music educator, having received her Master of Education in Kodály Music from the American Kodály Institute at Loyola University of Maryland in 2013.  Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Grove City College in Grove City, PA where she also studied trombone.  Since moving to Maryland in 2000, she has continued to play the trombone with several community groups including the Bel Air Community Band and the Hunt Valley Wind Ensemble.  As a former Kindermusik® instructor, Lyndsay has also taught several early childhood music classes.

In addition to teaching piano, Lyndsay also teaches her daughter, Eliza, at home.  Apart from teaching, she enjoys reading, crafting, gardening, hiking, biking and, of course, all things musical!
