Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music (CCM) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Giant Food Community Bag Program for the month of August 2019. The Giant Food Community Bag Program, which launched in July 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Giant Food located at 8905 Belair Rd. in Nottingham, MD. CCM will receive a $1 donation every time a customer purchases the $2.50 reusable Community Bag at this location during August, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We are excited to be recognized by the community in this way. Children’s Chorus of Maryland is grateful to be included in this generous campaign,” said Andrea Burgoyne, Executive Director of Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music. “All proceeds from this donation will be contributed to our “One Voice” campaign, a sponsorship program designed to assist a new student whose family would not otherwise have the resources to afford tuition.”
Entering its 44th season, Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music is one of the most respected programs for choral music education and performance in the United States. CCM features highly qualified teachers, small classes, and in-depth vocal enrichment to provide children with a complete musical education and choral experience. In addition to its Conservatory program, CCM offers a summer camp and music and play classes for 4 to 6-year-olds.
