Children's Chorus of Maryland's Lyric Choir is participating.
The 2025 Maryland Young Voices Festival is an all-day event that brings together community youth choirs from across the state of Maryland for a day of singing and sharing and closes with an unforgettable final concert for families and friends to enjoy.
Members of Children's Chorus of Maryland's Lyric and Concert Choirs will travel to Charleston, West Virginia to participate in a 4-day festival with other choirs from around the country.
This festival is a 4-day event that will immerse our choristers in the music and culture of the Appalachian Mountains. Folk music and culture is a cornerstone of the Kodaly method of music which CCM teaches, so this unique opportunity is a perfect fit with our curriculum and teaching methods. Choristers will also have the opportunity to work with the acclaimed Dr. Rollo Dilworth.
Dr. Rollo Dilworth is an active conductor, composer, educator and clinician who has taught choral music at the elementary, secondary and university levels. He is Vice Dean and Professor of Choral Music Education at Temple University's Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts. His research interests are in African American music, music education curriculum/ instruction, social emotional learning, and social justice. Dr. Dilworth's compositions and arrangements can be found in the catalogs of Hal Leonard, Colla Voce, Santa Barbara, Walton and EC Schirmer.

CCM's Lyric and Concert Choirs will perform excerpts from our upcoming spring concert, Musical World, at Charlestown Retirement Community.
CCM always enjoys performing for the residents of Charlestown in their beautiful chapel.

We work hard to ensure that each child who auditions and is accepted into the Conservatory program is able to participate, no matter their financial situation. Audition for our Conservatory! There will be a sign-up for those who'd like to audition on a future day.
Note: Students are placed in the appropriate class upon auditioning and placement is determined by more than just age.
Music Belongs to Everyone! is a camp for children in grades 2-4. Camp runs for five half-days from July 13 - July 17 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Optional aftercare is available from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Registration closes Thursday, July 9, or once camp spots are filled. Camp will be held at Children's Chorus of Maryland at 320 E Towsontown Blvd in Towson. If you elect to register for the camp plus aftercare, you must provide a bagged lunch for your child.
With Solfà classes completed, choral rehearsal time is extended to take up class time. The schedule doesn't change.
