Meet Ayah - A current CCM student - who shares what she enjoys about the relationships and community at CCM!
Alexandra Fyhr teaches musicianship classes in our conservatory program. A native of New Jersey, she holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, completed her MD teaching certification at the Peabody Institute, and earned her master’s degree in education from the American Kodály Institute at Loyola University Maryland. Alexandra holds certifications in Kodály, Feierabend, and Orff approaches to music education through the teacher training programs at the American Kodály Institute, the Feierabend Association for Music Education, and the San Francisco International Orff Course.
Alexandra previously taught the Crickets program with CCM. She currently teaches lower school music at the Friends School of Baltimore. Alexandra serves on the board of the Greater Baltimore Orff-Schulwerk Association and is a frequent international presenter.
On behalf of the board of directors and staff, we are thrilled to announce that Rachel Morgan Im has accepted our invitation to be CCM’s next Artistic Director. Since 2010 she has served as a conductor with the Children’s Chorus of Carroll County (CCCC), where she currently directs both the advanced auditioned ensemble (10th-12th grades), and the early intermediate ensemble (4th-6th grades). She has led CCCC ensembles to win numerous awards at choral festivals and adjudications, and she has co-directed their touring ensembles that have performed in prestigious venues in both the United States and Europe.
In 2022, Rachel also became conductor of the York County Junior Honors Choir, comprised of advanced 7th-9th grade singers from across York County in Pennsylvania.
Rachel was a school vocal music teacher from 2005-2020, during which time she earned the elite recognition as Teacher of the Year 2015 Finalist for Carroll County Public Schools and was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Teacher Award presented by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. During her years in the classroom, Rachel taught music at every single grade level and in both public and private school settings. She also served in numerous leadership positions at school and county levels.
Rachel holds a Master of Music Degree in Music Education from the Peabody Conservatory at John’s Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in Illinois. Additionally, she has completed 40+ graduate credits centered on world and folk arts, diversity, and pedagogy at McDaniel College in Maryland. Rachel is also pursuing a Kodaly certification at Loyola University.

Len Langrick has over twenty-five years professional experience cultivating musicianship and a love for music in both adults and children. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Organ Performance from Western Michigan University, a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Indiana University, and currently teaches vocal music for the Howard County Public Schools.
Len is certified in both the Kodály and Orff approaches to music education and has previously taught in CCM's Conservatory and Crickets programs. Len has organized and directed many successful musical arts camps, and again looks forward to sharing his passion for early childhood music with the CCM community.
CCM celebrates its 46th Annual Winter Concert, Gather! Our first indoor, in-person concert in 732 days through a statewide lockdown due to the 2019 Coronavirus pandemic. Our students did not disappoint!
