I am writing to share and to invite all of your congratulations to the Disney choristers! I understand they really "knocked 'em dead" in Orlando over the weekend, with an exceptional performance of the most sophisticated music presented by any choir!

As you know, CCM traveled to Florida and performed with other select choruses from around the country at the Children in Harmony Choral Festival as part of the Disney Music Magic Days at EPCOT (Dr. Barbara Tagg conducting).

As a result of the CCM Choir’s individual performances during this same tour, CCM has been invited to appear as the Honor Choir for this festival in 2006, and the composer-in-residence (Vijay Singh) requested permission to write a new piece for CCM! Betty received lots of really nice compliments on her new piece, too!

Congratulations go especially to the members of the Lyric Choir. Betty tells me that they had to learn the most music the quickest, and that they rose to face an extremely high-pressure situation with incredible maturity, talent, determination and confidence!!

I am so proud of all of you! The joyful musicality and pure professionalism of our musicians never ceases to amaze me!

Kudos also go to Sue Goetze, who did an absolutely fantastic job and took great care of our group. What a HUGE job! Thanks, Sue!
