About CCM

At Children's Chorus of Maryland, we believe that music communicates the essence of the human spirit, and that the voice is truly the "first" instrument.

Beyond the experience and exhiliration of a performance onstage, CCM places careful emphasis on music education. Children who complete the Conservatory Program leave CCM with the equivalent of a year of college-level music theory, having acquired the knowledge and skills without compromising their young voices.

CCM is a family affair, and we encourage the participation of a chorister's family members in ways that help to build a community of people who value music and appreciate the importance of music literacy in their children's lives.

More than 30 years after its inception, CCM continues to grow today because of the passion, the dedication, and the generous support of so many individuals and organizations. We recognize them here.
